The Role
We’re looking for a U.S.-based contract web designer/developer to call on whenever our workload spikes. You’ll jump right in—no hand-holding—turning client mockups into fully functional, responsive websites.
What You’ll Do
- Design Mockups in Adobe XD or Figma
- Take Adobe XD or Figma mockups and build out responsive WordPress sites using Elementor Page Builder
- Configure hosting environments, domain names, SSL, and DNS settings, when needed
- Keep projects moving in Teamwork: update tasks, and share the status of projects
- Communicate clearly via Google Chat, Meet, and email
- QA every page—across browsers and devices—to ensure nothing breaks
What You Bring
- A creative portfolio of live sites (WordPress + Elementor preferred)
- Solid eye for design, layout, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with mockup tools (Adobe XD or Figma)
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Ability to problem-solve independently and ask the right questions when you’re stuck
- Familiarity with hosting panels (cPanel, Plesk, or managed WP hosts), domains, and DNS
- Experience with Teamwork (or similar Project Management tools)
- Comfortable with Google Workspace (Chat, Drive, Meet)
- Self-starter attitude; minimal onboarding required
Nice-to-Haves
- Basic JS/jQuery chops to add interactive bits
- Experience with WooCommerce, membership plugins, or custom post types
- Understanding of page-speed best practices and on-site SEO fundamentals
